Rhiannon Cave-Walker

Rhiannon grew up as a wild child in the Byron Bay hinterland. There she started circus training at spaghetti youth circus and her sights were set on a successful, colourful and adventurous performing career. At 18, she packed her backpack and immersed herself in the European circus scene, later that year she was accepted into the circus university DOCH in Stockholm, Sweden. There she trained to a professional level the disciplines of hand balancing and hand to hand flying, focusing on a unique movement quality.

Rhiannon graduated after 3 years and went on to work with Gravity and Other Myths, co-created a independent circus and music show “Cadence”, which eventually led to her Co- Creating Fauna Circus. Fauna toured their self-titled show around the world, winning awards and praise from audience and fellow performers. Rhiannon is now in Australia and works for Circa Contemporary Circus. She collaborated with Kali and Cecelia in the film ‘Holding’ and plans to collaborate with FMC and Kali in future workshops and events. She is a natural people person and loves to connect and host.

Cecilia Martin

Cecilia Martin is an Australian multidisciplinary artist grown from Argentinian roots. As a professional acrobat touring the world, movement is her principal artistic language. She is trained as a soloist and an aerialist but is particularly interested in pushing the limits of the art form through duo and ensemble acrobatics.

Her fascination with the human form infiltrates from circus into photography and videography. Photographing primarily on 35mm and 120mm film, Cecilia strives to create art that is both intimate and ethereal, belonging simultaneously in a familiar realm and a foreign dimension.

CC helped to film and edited Holding and is a very treasured friend and creative human.

Phoebe Carlson

Phoebe’s creative energy has been radiating on this planet since the day she was born. After dabbling in visual arts, theatre and dance, she was drawn to the circus, like a moth to the flame. This yearning to create physically led to 4 years of intensive training at the National Institute of Circus Arts in Melbourne. Four years of tying herself in knots in the air, rolling, flipping, falling, tumbling, twizzling hula hoops and balancing upside down. Shortly after, a rollercoaster of gigs, art and festivals ensued. Phoebe has performed all around Australia and Europe with companies including; Circa Contemporary Circus, After Dark Theatre, Madhouse Circus, CircaNICA and Casus Circus.

Phoebe met Kali whilst working together with Casus Circus in 2016, since then they have been creating, exploring, playing and have formed a beautiful friendship, which led to collaborating on the Wild Woman Film.

Billie Wilson-Coffey

Billie Wilson-Coffey grew up in a small pocket of beauty known as Mullumbimby on the far east coast of Australia, which is where she found creativity and community through circus at a young age.

During her circus career of international touring and performing, she began documenting life on the road through photographs. It enabled Billie to witness moments from a different perspective, enriching her desire to create and document stories of the otherwise ephemeral nature of a touring life.

Billie is drawn to photography through the honesty of a portrait, the intimacy of a moment often unseen and relationships of the human form.

Some of Billie’s photography is featured on this website and will be featured in future FMC creative projects.

Jak Unterheiner

Photography and videography are some of Jak’s passions.

Jak’s favourite thing to photograph is the ocean. Which is kind of annoying because he is torn between going out for a surf or geting some cool shots!

Jak completed his Bachelor of Film Production at SAE Institute in 2018 and loves filming events and creative projects.

Videos are something unique that Jak has fun making. He believes there is beauty in telling a story through film.

Jak filmed and edited the Wild Woman Film.
